Miles Edgeworth Devils Advocate

This New illustration is based on an idea I had while I was re-watching The Devils Advocate after I just watched a play through of Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney (The first Phoenix Wright game). It seemed like a no-brainer to mash these two titles together since the story does center around lawyers and their cases. When trying to think of how I could mash these two worlds together I immediately remembered Miles Edgeworth’s storyline in the first Phoenix game in which he is a prosecutor who had a reputation for falsifying evidence to get the guilty verdict he desired and how that fell apart when Phoenix Wright entered the scene and won trial after trail against Mile Edgeworth. In the final case Phoenix takes on famed prosecutor Manfred Von Karma and Miles Edgeworth’s mentor, in the end of the case we learn that Edgeworth got his falsifying tactic from Manfred. Obviously this is where the similarity between Kevin Lomax and Edgeworth split because after the case Edgeworth becomes a better person while Kevin just is stuck in an endless loop of temptation in which he is doomed to repeat.

With this piece I wanted it to be more Phoenix Wright than Devils Advocate so I chose to use Edgeworths office rather than the alter that was depicted in the Devils Advocate poster. I was inspired to use the same design sense as the Devils Advocate poster and same poses for the characters as it already gives the idea that one is subjugated by the other. When dealing with the logo for the piece I chose to to base it off the logo for Miles Edgeworth Ace Attorney Investigations.
